This design was created for UNIFACS, a superior learning institution that launched a process to select an architecture firm to develop a proposal for its new campus in the Costa Azul neighborhood of Salvador.
The complex, whose built area is 110,950 square meters, possesses 2,500 parking spaces distributed onto three floors situated below the communal use level. On the ground floor, the central plaza/courtyard plays a primary role in the design, as it configures a continuous space that allows for a diversity of accesses amongst the six buildings that make up the campus, in addition to stimulating students of different disciplines to socialize on the same floor.
The auditorium was placed to the east, close to the main entrance of the complex, located on Artur Azevedo Machado St., in order to allow students and neighbors to make use of said equipment, as well as to mark the main entrance of the complex. To the east side of the auditorium one finds the administration building and the Faculty of Law, Administration and Communication. The Engineering & IT and the Architecture & Design buildings are situated to the north.
The library is situated to the east, on the central axis of the lot, at the end of the canopy that starts at the entrance of the campus and connects all the buildings.
