The Tecnocentro is the seat of government of Bahia state in the technology park, TecnoBahia. Located in the geographic center of the park, it acts symbolically as a center point for visitors. The building will host offices of emerging tech companies which intend to locate their headquarters in the park, and will have a library, auditorium, restaurant, a playground and a “virtuarium” – a projection room open to the community in a total of 30k m2 of built area.
The main mark of the Tecnocentro is the Eco-efficient architecture, in accordance with the principles that guided the creation of the technological park. The main façade is orientated so as to take the best trajectory of the Sun. The building is equipped with all necessary facilities to capture and reuse solar energy and rainwater. In addition, the Tecnocentro is surrounded by a great mass of vegetation which will be preserved.
